Lt. General Dato Sri Wan Normazlan bin Che Jaafar RMAF (Retired) is currently an advocate and solicitor registered under the legal firm Messrs Jagjit Ariff & Co as a partner. He started his career as an army engineer and later as a qualified helicopter pilot. Throughout his 42 years of service in the Royal Malaysian Airforce, he has served various appointments including Director of RMAF Legal Departments, Base Commander Air Base Subang, Assistant Chief of Staff Operation and Strategic RMAF, and Commander of Air Support RMAF.

He holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B Hons) from IIUM, a Master Degree of Comparative Laws (MCL) from IIUM, Master in International Air and Space Law (LL.M) from University of Leiden, The Netherlands, and Master in Defence Studies from the National University of Malaysia.

He co-authored a book “Military Legal Proceedings in Malaysia” published in 2009.
